POST SMTP Mailer – Email log, Delivery Failure Notifications and Best Mail SMTP for WordPress plugin for WordPress には、2.8.7 までのすべてのバージョンにおいて、connect-app REST エンドポイントにおける型変換の問題により、データへの不正アクセスやデータの改ざんの脆弱性があります。これにより、認証されていない攻撃者がメーラーへの認証に使用した API キーをリセットし、パスワードリセットの電子メールを含むログを閲覧することが可能となり、サイトの乗っ取りが可能となります。CVE-2023-52233は、この問題と重複しているようです。
解決方法
バージョン2.8.8、またはパッチが適用された新しいバージョンにアップデートする。
